Snape Sighting #1
"Pathetic," Snape scoffed as he peered down his long nose at the parchment that had just arrived by owl.

Scribbled across it were a few terse lines from a squib acquaintence of his who was unusually tapped into Muggle exploits on something called the Interweb.

*****
Dear Prof. Snape,

Followed up on wireless program, Snapecast on Podcast Alley. That's one of those places Muggles like to get their wireless shows.

It looks like Snapecast is not very popular. In fact, it's not even as popular as a show about onions.

Muggles do fancy the oddest things

Cheers,
Nigel

******

Snape crumpled up the scrap of parchment and tossed it aside.

"Well, well, well. It seems I don't even have to hex their ridiculous Muggle wireless show after all. No one's even listening to it," Snape sneered with some degree of satisfaction.

But as he settled down to resume reading a particularly engrosing tome on the many uses of snake venom for personal hygiene, he couldn't help but feel irritated that a wireless muggle show named after him was ranked lower than a show about onions.

Shameless Plug: If you care about Snape more than you care about onions, vote for Snapecast on Podcast Alley...

It is too popular!

We sure hope so!

But Nigel is right. snapecast isn't nearly as popular as a the onion podcast!

Why not just ride on the coattails of Mugglecast and Pottercast and ask them to promote Snapecast? With a quick 1 paragraph blurb on their sites, you instantly go from a measily 200 listeners to 200,000 + listeners in no time flat.

Snape would appreciate this tactic as Slytherins always like to take shortcuts. ;)

Hmm...intriguing. We'll have to look into seeing whether they're willing to allow another podcast to be pimped from their own pages.

Perhaps we can trick them into it.

But we are building a steadily growing fanbase. Downloads of Episode 1 are way, way over 200. *satisfied smirk*

I loved the cast and I tried very hard to vote but Podcast Alley hates me. It wouldn't let me register and then apparently I tried too many times and then it booted me. I shall keep trying. It's a conspiracy against Snape I tell you!

This is so very typical. Conspiracies against Snape abound.

That was my first ever podcast and you've gotten me HOOKED, so I love it.

In fact, I mentioned it in my latest entry.

And honestly, I'd like to do an editorial for it one time. :)

I'll do that. I'm going to start working it up, because I want to make sure I don't forget anything pertinent. ;) And there's a LOT of ground to cover.

I've been listening to Mugglecast since you got me addicted to podcasting (which took one hit, no less), and I think I had spent so much time voluntarily associating myself with people who think that Snape is Dumbledore's Man, that I'd forgotten how many people out there just don't see it. When I come across the very few I come across in Real Life, I usually have them converted in two minutes or less, so what I'm hearing on Mugglecast has been astonishing.

It's been sent.

Cheers. ;)

(I've said for some time I'd defend him in the fully assembled Wizengamot, the defendent in absentia, against Jo as prosecution...and expect to get him acquitted.)

;)

Well, onions are a popular vegetable...
I listened when it first came out! I loved it! You have to keep going! More of Teh Imitation Voice!
Give it time to pimp around, and I definately agree that you should ask the bigger podcasts like Pottercast to see if they'll pimp for you.
Long live Snapecast! Hurrah!
The Elephant in the Room: Potions Masterpennswoods on June 8th, 2006 11:48 pm (UTC)
No worries. We have BIG plans for TEH VOICE in the next episode. Just you wait...*giggles like a mad fool*

You're so Chris' number one fangirl.

*grins* I so am! Chris be Teh Man!
He should thank his lucky stars I'm not the stalking type... :P *cackles*

You're in the UK too, aren't you, so you could totally pull off a stalking. (Not that I'm recommending it, of course!)

<-(Just to make it official!)

Hee! I could indeed. A few £ on the Megabus is all it would take... *evil grin* :P
